Gresham Firefighter Suffers On-Duty Cardiac Arrest

GRESHAM, Oregon – A Gresham firefighter died while on duty Friday, according to the firefighters’ union and local news.

Gresham Professional Firefighters Local 1602 stated that Firefighter Brandon Norbury was stricken during training on Friday. He was treated on the scene and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Firefighter Norbury joined the department in 2008. Prior to that he was a Gresham police officer for seven years. Norbury also served in the Navy as a SEAL.
