The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter/EMT/Dispatcher Brittany Hathaway, 36, of the Cliff-Gila Fire Department.

On January 20, 2026, Firefighter/EMT/Dispatcher Brittany Hathaway suffered a medical emergency while responding to a medical call. Firefighter/EMT/Dispatcher Hathaway was transported to a local hospital where she passed away on January 22, 2026. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
