USFA On-Duty Death: Oklahoma

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Fire Chief Jim McCoy, 60, of the Alderson Fire Department on 1 November 2025.

Fire Chief Jim McCoy was providing fire department standby for a drag racing event when a collision caused a vehicle to leave the racetrack, striking Fire Chief Mccoy and a police officer, killing them both.
