USFA On-Duty Death: New Jersey

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Julius Snyder, 55, of the Camden Fire Department on 27 October 2025.

Firefighter Julius Snyder responded to eight emergency calls while working a 24-hour shift from January 31, 2020, to February 1, 2020. Shortly after his shift ended, Firefighter Snyder suffered a medical emergency. He was taken to a local hospital and subsequently transferred to a regional medical center for emergency surgery. After suffering prolonged complications from the medical emergency he suffered in 2020, Firefighter Snyder passed away on October 27, 2025.
