NEW YORK — Mayor Eric Adams and FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker announced the death of Firefighter Patrick D. Brady, 42, an 11-year veteran of the department.
Brady suffered a medical episode and went into cardiac arrest while operating on the roof during an all-hands fire at 9407 Kings Highway in Brooklyn on Nov. 8, the department said in a statement.
Firefighters and FDNY EMS provided immediate care before he was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. An investigation into the incident is underway.
The number of on-duty deaths for 2025 is currently 70.
