USFA On-Duty Death: Massachusetts

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Jeffrey Deschenes, 54, of the North Andover Fire Department on 29 May 2025.

On May 29, 2025, Firefighter Jeffrey Deschenes responded to multiple calls during his shift. After returning home later that evening, Firefighter Deschenes experienced chest pain and went to the emergency room at approximately 10:00 p.m. He suffered a heart attack that night while at the hospital. Medical professionals were unable to resuscitate him, and he was pronounced deceased.
