The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Senior Firefighter Corban Summers, 49, of the South Jordan Fire Department on 21 April 2025.

Senior Firefighter Corban Summers was found unresponsive in his room at Station 61 of the South Jordan Fire Department. Fellow crew members immediately began lifesaving measures and then transported Senior Firefighter Summers to Jordan Valley Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
