The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Sergeant John Robinson, 53, of the Lafayette Fire Department on 14 April 2025.

On April 14, 2025, Sergeant John Robinson was found unresponsive while on duty at Lafayette Fire Department’s Station 9 and passed away. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
