The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Terry Wayne Dykes, 58, of the Pinedale Volunteer Fire Department on 3 March 2025.

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Firefighter Terry Wayne Dykes was at the scene of a grass fire when he fell from the top of a brush truck and suffered major head trauma. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, from the injuries he sustained in the fall.
