The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Captain Mark Eads, 62, of the Kings County Fire Department on 1 February 2025.

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, Captain Mark Eads responded to the scene of a residential fire. While at the incident, he suffered a medical emergency. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
