Calif. Captain Dies After On-Duty Medical Emergency

The Barstow firefighters union announced the death of Captain Garret Miller following an on-duty medical emergency.

No details on the cause and nature of death were provided.

Miller had been with the Barstow Fire Protection District since Sept. 2017 and had previously served with the United States Forest Service in the San Bernardino National Forest and the Fort Irwin Fire Department.
