The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Fire Police Officer Brian Peek, 67, of the Goldsboro Fire Company on 16 August 2024.

On Friday, August 16, 2024, Fire Police Officer Brian Peek was directing traffic during a vehicle crash when he was struck by an automobile. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
