The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Wildland Firefighter Daniel Foley, 27, of the U.S. Forest Service, Fremont-Winema National Forest on 9 July 2024.
On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Wildland Firefighter Daniel Foley collapsed after the completion of a District Work Capacity Test. He was immediately transported to the Sky Lakes Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
