USFA On-Duty Death: Montana

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter John Norris Raisler, 59, of the Montana State Department of Natural Resources and Conservation on 16 April 2024.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Firefighter John Norris Raisler suffered a medical emergency during a practice for a pack test. CPR was immediately performed and he was then transported to the local hospital where he was pronounced deceased from an apparent heart attack.
