The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Engineer Heath J. O’Shea, 44, of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department on 13 April 2024.

On Friday, April 12, 2024, Engineer Heath J. O’Shea was working at the fire station when he suffered a medical emergency. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he died on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from an ascending aortic aneurysm.
