USFA On-Duty Death: Pennsylvania

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Safety Officer John “Billy” W. Bunardzya, 73, of the Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Department on 7 April 2024.

On Saturday, April 6, 2024, Safety Officer John “Billy” W. Bunardzya responded to trees down on the roadway. He assisted in cutting the debris and moving it off of the street. He then returned home. He went to bed and passed away in his sleep from an apparent heart attack.
