The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Battalion Chief John Garrow, 60, of the Philadelphia Fire Department on 19 February 2024.

On Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, Battalion Chief John Garrow suffered a medical emergency while on-duty. He was immediately transported to the Temple University Hospital. While in the hospital he suffered a cardiac arrest and was put on a ventilator. He passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, from complications suffered from the heart attack.
