The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Engineer Ryan Pleasants, 41, of the Walla Walla Fire Department on 7 January 2024.

On the morning of Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, Engineer Ryan Pleasants, while working a 48-hour shift, was found deceased in his bed at Fire Station 1 from an apparent heart attack.
