The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Joseph “Joe” Maragliano, 76, of the Nyack Fire Department on 2 September 2023.

On Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, Firefighter Joseph “Joe” Maragliano responded to a gas leak at a residence. The next day, Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.
