The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Captain Adam Wayne, 38, of Hurlburt Field, Fire & Emergency Services on 5 October 2023.

On Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, during his 48-hour shift, Captain Adam Wayne Hart was found unresponsive on the floor inside his bunkroom. CPR was immediately performed by fire department and medical personnel, to no avail. Approximately one hour later, he was declared deceased. The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
