Firefighter Dies Battling Oregon Wildfire

SANDY, Ore.— A firefighter has died as a result of injuries sustained while fighting a wildfire in Oregon.

KPTV reported that the U.S. Forest Service said the firefighter was injured while battling the Austin Fire in the Mount Hood National Forest on 9 September.

The cause and nature of the firefighter’s death, as well as the identity, were not reported.
