Chicago Battalion Chief Dies After Shift

CHICAGO — The Chicago Fire Department announced the death of Battalion Chief Sean Kevin on 10 September on social media.

The department said on Facebook that Kevin, 53, had just returned home after completing a shift when he died on Sept. 8.

Kevin served as a firefighter, lieutenant and captain before being promoted to battalion chief in 2023.
