EMMITSBURG, Md. — The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has announced the on-duty death of Firefighter Eric Phillips, 44, of the Raymond Fire Department on 4 September 2026.
Firefighter Eric Phillips suffered a medical emergency while at the scene of a fire alarm activation. Other first responders administered life-saving measures to Firefighter Phillips and transported him to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
