The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Lamont Killian, Jr., 51, of the Mount Vernon Fire Department on 11 December 2023.
On Saturday, June 22, 2019, Firefighter Lamont Killian, Jr. was at the scene of a residential fire when he collapsed. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he suffered a heart attack. Since that time, he has been unable to return to work. He passed away from heart related issues on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023.
