USFA On-Duty Death: South Carolina

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Captain Kenneth Roy Sott, 65, of Summerville Fire & Rescue on 17 October 2022.

On Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, Captain Kenneth Roy Sott returned home after physical fitness training with recruit firefighters. A short time later, he experienced a medical emergency and was rushed to the Summerville Medical Center where he passed away from an apparent heart attack.
