The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Assistant Chief Michael Moody, 59, of the Purdum Rural Fire District on 2 October 2022.
On Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, while fighting the Bovee wildfire near Halsey, Nebraska, Assistant Chief Michael Moody suffered an apparent heart attack and passed away.
