The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Captain Charles D. Krampota, 60, of the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department on 23 September 2022.

On Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, Captain Charles D. Krampota responded to a fully involved mobile home fire. After extinguishment of the fire and being cleared from the scene, Captain Krampota returned home. Approximately 3 hours later, he was found deceased from an apparent heart attack. Investigation into the incident continues.
