USFA On-Duty Death: Idaho

The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Crew Boss Gerardo Rincon, 48* of the Salmon-Challis National Forest on 20 September 2022.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, while assigned to the Moose Fire near Salmon, ID, Crew Boss Gerardo Rincon suffered a medical emergency and passed away.
