The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Jesse B. Gerhard, 33 of the Fire Department of New York on 16 February 2022.

On Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, Firefighter Jesse B. Gerhard suffered a medical episode while on-duty at the fire station. He was immediately transported to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital where he passed away a short time later. The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
