The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Fire Inspector/Investigator Donald Gene Gross, 57, of Lincoln Fire and Rescue on 4 January 2022.

On Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, Fire Inspector/Investigator Donald Gene Gross was at the scene of a residential fire. After returning home, he complained of chest pains. On the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, he was found deceased at his residence.
