EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Captain Wesley Vanderver, 86, of the Sugar Hill Volunteer Fire Department on 27 October 2021.
On Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, Captain Wesley Vanderver responded to a residential fire. While working pump operations, he suffered a heart attack. CPR was immediately performed and he was transported to the local hospital. He passed away a short time later.
