EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter Gregory Lee Bauer, 56, of the Columbus Division of Fire on 18 October 2021.

While working a 24-hour shift, Firefighter Gregory Lee Bauer contracted COVID-19.  He passed away from the virus on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.
