EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Chief Jon Delvalle, 63, of the Garden Valley Fire Protection District on 14 September 2021.
On Aug. 15, 2021, while on duty, Chief Jon Delvalle was exposed to a patient who was COVID-19 positive. He subsequently contracted the virus and passed away on Sept. 14, 2021.
