EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Lieutenant/Paramedic Cody Traber, 41, of Spokane County Fire District No.9 on 26 August 2021.

On Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, Lieutenant/Paramedic Cody Traber responded to a reported brush fire. While investigating the fire, he fell from the Wandermere Bridge at Highway 395 and passed away from the injuries he sustained in the fall.
