EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Firefighter/Squad Boss Frumencio Ruiz Carapia, 56, of GE Forestry on 23 August 2021.

On Monday, August 23, 2021, while working at the Gales Wildland Fire, Firefighter/Squad Boss Frumencio Ruiz Carapia was killed when he was struck by a falling tree.
