EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the death of Deputy Chief Tommy Allen Hopson, 53, of Carroll County Fire Rescue on 15 August 2021.

Deputy Chief Tommy Allen Hopson contracted COVID-19 while on-duty at the fire department.  He passed away from the virus on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
