GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania – TRIB LIVE has reported that a Greensburg firefighter died after participating in a firemen’s parade on 24 June.

Greensburg firefighter Richard A. Frye was found in the chief’s vehicle after driving it in a parade in Mount Pleasant.

Frye, 77, was a life member of Greensburg Hose Company No.7. He joined the fire department in December of 1972.

Readers may find participation in a parade odd as consideration for an on-duty death but such incidents in the past have qualified and been recorded.
