Firefighter killed while en route to a MVA

COLES COUNTY, Illinois – WAND reports that an Illinois firefighter has died after being involved in a crash while responding to a motor vehicle accident.

The firefighter, only identified to date as a member of the Wabash Fire Protection District, was responding to multi-vehicle crash at mile marker 188 on Interstate on Sunday.

The details of each crash have not yet been reported.
