USFA On-Duty Death: Missouri

EMMITSBURG, Maryland – The United States Fire Administration has announced the on-duty death of Firefighter Rodney L. Heard, 56, of the St. Louis City Fire Department, Missouri on 15 June 2021.

Firefighter Rodney L. Heard worked in the Support Services Division and was in contact with many different fire stations and firefighters.  He subsequently contracted COVID-19 while on-duty and passed away from the virus on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
